WOW! Thank you, Rat and V. What an honor to receive this awesome, awesome award! I honestly don’t know what to say. OK, actually I do.

I’d like to share this award with the wonderful persons I met and played piko, patintero, tumbang-preso, luksong-tinik, and agawan-base (or, as we liked to call it, “trouble-pulis,” apparently an amplified mondegreen of “cops-and-robbers”) with in days of yore. Among them were Arliel a.k.a. Loloy, Lester a.k.a. Bitoy, Ralph a.k.a. Apyong, Dranreb a.k.a. Doming, and Jonelle a.k.a. Bobong. It is my earnest hope that they’ll always remember, as I surely will, those lovely times when our personalities, our very identities, were defined almost exclusively by our mischievous monikers.

Here’s to less than euphonious nicknames, and the brave people who steadfastly bear them! Thank you very much.
